Wind Sculptures is a multiple award-winning photographic series recorded with a high-speed camera system that presents sculpture formations made with space blankets and shaped by the wind. The artist sits behind these theatrical sculptures where humans and nature collaborate in a symbiotic performance. A joint dialogue between humankind and mother earth that uses as a focal point the space blanket, a material developed by NASA in 1964 for the US space program. The space blanket is a symbol of our unique desire for exploration as a species that helps us investigate the role we have on our planet and our universe. Wind Sculptures – Balos A 2014 Nature, humans and technology are the three elements of this series that try to support the idea that nature is a collaborative system where all its entities have the responsibility to collaborate to achieve an ecological balance. Wind Sculptures is a travelling photographic series filmed in several locations across Europe (Italy, Greece, France, Switzerland, Portugal, UK, and Iceland).
